The JW Marriott in New Orleans straddles two worlds; guests arrive at the porte cochere in the Central Business District, a neighborhood of high rises that could be anywhere in America. After checking in and dropping off their bags, the guests can then walk down a corridor and be transported to the 'only-in-New Orleans' Bohemia that is Canal Street and the Vieux Carre. The new Conference Center stands at this junction point and creates a exciting juxtaposition between the established, international luxury of JW Marriott's brand and the funky chaos that is our city. It is through this lens that GOAT developed the following design, filtering modern luxe through the charm of the unique charm on the other side of the wall.

The conference center is dividable into three individual meeting rooms with operable partitions, complementing the collection of ballrooms the hotel boasts on its upper floors. When left open as a single space, the conference center acts as the perfect pre-function space for large, hotel wide events. Its speakeasy-style charm makes it a favorite of guests since its opening in 2024.
