Project Spotlight: Parish Line Bistro Bar Opens Doors in Old Metairie

GOAT project Parish Line Bistro Bar is officially complete. The brand new restaurant and wine bar is located in the 1940s masonry structure at 601 Metairie Road that once housed Metry Cafe & Bar.

GOAT Co-Founders Colin VanWingen and Peter Spera III along with Designer Paula Bechara began the architecture and design work for the client, Geocor Properties, back in 2020.

The design brings together a sophisticated palette of new finishes with the exposed bones of the old structure to create an elevated and reimagined interior and exterior.

Parish Line opened its doors on October 14 and welcomed diners to experience the updated finishes, facade, and brand new rooftop deck‒ the only rooftop dining experience in Jefferson Parish‒ which overlooks the neighboring shops, restaurants, and historic railway across the street.

The team also worked in tandem with the general contractor Perrier Esquerre Contractors, structural engineering partner Batture, Electrical Design Solutions for electrical, and Herzog Engineering for the project’s mechanical engineering and plumbing.

Parish Line is run by business partners Gabe Corchiani, John Georges, Mickey Loomis, and Mickey Parenton.
